Great food at the Depot Bottom Country Store

Well, I kept hearing about this  “Depot Bottom” place and what good food they had so I figured I should check it out.

First I found them on Facebook and it looked like my kind of place.   Small  Mom and Pop type of establishment with home cooked recipes, so I called Sandy and caught her getting ready for the lunch rush.

Leave it to me to call on Potato Soup day.  Sandy sounded like she was in a bit of a panic trying to get everything ready and babysit her famous soup while some goober was trying to talk her into being on some TV show about her plates?

Long story short, we talked later on and set up a filming date.     Sandy shared 2 of her favorite Home Cooked recipes with us and Boy were they Good!  Chicken Scampi and Pork Chops with Caramelized Onions.

Cookie Critters with Lisa Battles

This months show was a little different.    Instead of a bunch of cooking it was more like creative assembly.   TONS of fun.    Lisa is known around the office for bringing cute little animals made out of cookies, chocolate dipped cherries, and other treats like Hershey kisses for any holiday event.
